Blueline Architecture, LLC

Wayne T Johnson, R.A.  and Eric Kiellar, A.I.A. formed Blueline Architecture in 2005

BlueLine Architecture is a full service architecture firm in Wyckoff, NJ, and was founded by Wayne Johnson and Eric Kiellar. Together they have over 60 years of diverse experience that allows them to articulate their clients needs ultimately producing truly unique designs. BlueLine has a varying portfolio including all types of residential work, from simple additions and alterations to high-end residences, independent schools, churches, retail and restaurant establishments, commercial and corporate work, recreation spaces, and municipal projects. BlueLine excels in the production of quality design and accurate construction drawings for renovations, additions and new construction. The client experience is second to none - with rewards for both the client - and the architect.

Wayne T. Johnson, R.A.

Wayne Johnson designed his first build at 14-years-old—a treehouse that today would require Zoning Ordinances to be rewritten—and has since turned his childhood passion into a career. Over the course of his 40+year tenure, Wayne has acquired a vast array of experiences across the industry which includes: working

summers as a framer with a Norwegian crew, starting a small, hands-on design-build construction company while in college, various architectural internships, and staff architect for V. Paulius and Associates, a pioneer in engineering and development of tilt-up construction. Shortly after, he began his own practice in 1988 which held strong focus on high-profile, state-mandated rehabilitation projects throughout NYC and countless local

residential, municipal and commercial projects.

In 2005, Wayne joined forces with his own former intern, Eric Kiellar, to form Blueline Architecture, LLC, taking the firm to even greater heights. Wayne has a background in engineering from Clemson University and acquired his Bachelors of Architecture from Pratt Institute. When not in the office, Wayne enjoys spending his free time with his three children, his 4 grandchildren, and keeping things competitive on the pickleball court.

Eric Kiellar, A.I.A.

Eric knew that he wanted to be an architect from a young age and was inspired by his grandfather who was very detail-oriented and good with his hands. He has been a licensed architect since 2001. He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology, in Boston, Massachusetts in 1995 where he gained hands on experience in the construction and engineering industries. He then went on to secure a Master's degree in Architecture from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1998.

Eric's creativity and determination led him to acquire a diverse range of hobbies and goals. He was a decorated wrestler in high school and in college, was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 34 in Franklin Lakes, and spent most of his spare time wakeboarding and snowboarding. Eric is married to his best friend, Liza. Together they bought their first house in Ramsey, NJ. From there they decided to grow their family and become foster parents. Long story short, they now have four beautiful children and live on the Ramapo River in Mahwah, NJ where they enjoy playing in the woods, catching frogs, swimming, building their treehouse, fishing, canoeing and much more.

Steve Howard

Steven Howard has been an integral part of the BlueLine team since 2008 and holds a BS in Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. In addition to his key contributions as the BlueLine's Network Administrator, Steven heads up the firm's Construction Drawing Department. Outside of the office, Steven is the coach of several youth baseball and ice hockey teams, and resides in northern New Jersey with his wife, four children, and an ever-changing number of rescue pups.

Daniella Passarelli

Daniella Passarelli is Blueline's most recent addition joining the firm as an Intern in 2023. From a young age, Daniella explored creative ventures such as sewing, drawing, and Legos to design floorplans and model homes, and took her passion to the next level by building a cabin in Upstate New York with her father. When in school, Daniella likes to integrate nature and plants into her design process, hoping these ideas will one day integrate more into the future of architecture. Daniella will graduate with her Bachelor of Architecture from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2025.
